Pastor Richard Groover
RAG Ministries
How we Started
Pastor Richard Groover was born in NYC to Bishop Johnny and Ruby Groover. Raised in the church, he began preaching as a teenager in Savannah, GA. After graduating from Savannah High School, he joined the Navy, where he felt God’s call to return to ministry. In 2001, while still on active duty, he founded Revival Temple of Christ. In 2008, he established Kingdom Life Ministries and was consecrated as a Bishop in 2013, serving as Presiding Bishop of Kingdom Covenant Churches International, overseeing ministries in the U.S. and Africa.
In 2018, disillusioned with traditional church practices, Pastor Groover transitioned to Kingdom Life Evangelistic Ministries, aiming to initiate revival across the U.S. His extensive ministry experience and desire to reach believers led to the creation of RAG Ministries during the Covid-19 pandemic. RAG Ministries focuses on building an online ministry with occasional in-person gatherings to reach the lost, disciple God’s people, and develop leaders.
Pastor Groover is also the proud father of Jazmine, a chef in Orlando, FL, and Richard II, who serves in the army.
Our Approach
We believe that true ministry happens when we connect with people in a meaningful way, both online and in person.
1. Emphasizing a personal relationship with God over religious rituals.
2. Utilizing modern technology to reach and engage with our community.
3. Hosting nontraditional and flexible meeting formats that cater to today’s believers.
OUR FUTURE
As the need for local churches develops, we plan to plant churches with resident pastors in various cities. These congregations will determine their own meeting frequencies and structures, tailored to their community needs.
OUR MISSION
– Simply to introduce people to an approachable God.
– To promote a relationship with God over religion.
– To do ministry in a nontraditional way. We are not a traditional church.
We have no building, no membership, no choir, and no tithing. Instead, we meet online on platforms such as Facebook Live and Zoom. Additionally, we hold in-person meetings quarterly at various locations.
